JEE (Main), the joint entrance examination, consists of two papers. NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), and Institutions/Universities supported/recognized by participating State Governments conduct Paper 1 for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs (B.E/B.Tech.). JEE (Main) is a prerequisite for JEE (Advanced), a test for admission to IITs. For entry into the nation’s B. Arch and B. Planning programs, Paper 2 is administered.
- For admissions in the following academic session, the JEE (Main) – 2023 will be held over the course of 02 (two) sessions. Thus, the following advantages will accrue to the candidates:
- If a candidate is unable to offer their total effort in one attempt, they will be given two chances to enhance their exam marks.
- Students will gain first-hand experience taking an exam on their first try, and they will learn from their mistakes so they may do better on their second try.
- Droppers won’t have to squander a whole year because of this, which will lower the likelihood of dropping a year.
- Any person who missed the exam due to unavoidable circumstances (like the Board exam) won’t have to wait a full year to retake it.
- A candidate does not have to show up for both Sessions. The best JEE (Main) – 2023 NTA Scores will be taken into account for the creation of the Merit List/ Ranking if a candidate participates in more than one Session.
