Senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel dies at 71

Congress leader Ahmed Patel had been in Gurgaon Hospital since his health worsened after a covid-19 infection, a leader who was the closest political advisor of Sonia Gandhi. He was known as one of the most well-known troubleshooters of the Indian National Congress. He was 71 years old and had been admitted to a Gurgaon Hospital since his health worsened after the Covid-19 infection. “The Rajya Sabha MP from Gujarat died at 3:30 a.m. today”  was tweeted by his son Faisal Patel. 

He tweeted “With profound grief & sorrow, I regret to announce the sad and untimely demise of my father, Mr. Ahmed Patel at 25/11/2020, 03:30 AM. After testing positive for COVID-19 around a month back, his health worsened further due to multiple organ failures. May Allah grant him Jannatul firdaus, inshallah,”.


He had been admitted to the ICU of Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon on November 15.
