Kia Motors has unveiled its Future Business Plan. Recently, the company had also unveiled its new logo which will be seen in the upcoming models. The company has also removed the word ‘Motor Corporation’ from its name and now it will be known only as Kiya.
1.The company will introduce 7 new electric cars by 2027
Kiya has unveiled its long-term ‘Plan S’ business strategy in which the company’s focus will be on electric vehicles, mobility, services, purpose built vehicles and more sustainable production. The company will introduce 7 new electric cars by 2027. In such a situation, it can be guessed that till then an electric car will be launched every year. These new models include SUVs, MPVs and passenger vehicles from different segments. All these will be based on Hyundai Group’s new electric global modular platform E GMP.
2.The first electric car will be launched in the first quarter of 2021
The first of these electric cars will be launched in the first quarter of 2021. It will be a crossover design car and the new logo of Kia will be seen first. The range of this EV will be 500 km. It will support high speed charging so that it can be fully charged within 20 minutes. With the launch of new electric cars, Kiya aims to achieve 6.6 percent share in the global BEV market by 2025 and the company also aims to achieve 5 lakh units of global annual sales by 2026.
3.The company gave big hints
Apart from this, Kiya Motors is also developing Purpose Built Vehicles for corporate customers. The company will focus on e-commerce vehicles and car sharing services, including low floor logistics vehicles and delivery vehicles. Kiya Motors says that by 2030, demand for purpose built vehicles will increase.
4.These models are available in India
In view of the plans for India, it will be seen that which of these upcoming electric cars are launched in India. The company currently has three models of the company: Sonet Sub 4 Meter SUV, Celtos Compact SUV and Carnival MPV available for sale.
